We have been amazed about the contributions we have got from the community when it comes to topos. Some community topos are in great shape with up-to-date information but unfortunately most of them are incomplete with missing routes, pictures, location and/or descriptions.
It is a lot of work to open and add new route information for the climbers to enjoy. Besides this, just keeping the service running and improving is also a full time job for multiple people.
Just like people who make printed topos, climbers who spend a lot of time making online topos should be rewarded. We also believe that this serves the development of the climbing areas and keeps the quality of topos high in the long run. 27 Crags gives 50% of the money that comes from the subscriptions to the .premium topo makers. The other 50% goes to keeping the service running and improving.
